Nova High Defeats American Heritage In Exciting Triple Overtime
Nova Lady Titans vs American Heritage Highlights November 12th 2008, the Nova Lady Titans young team dig deep and play with incredible heart to defeat the heavily touted American Heritage Patriots! The Patriots roster stacked with big time D1 players such as Bianca Lutley (Signed with LSU), Sandra Garcia (Signed with Wake Forrest), Illyssa Vivo (Being Heavily Recruited), Kaley Howard (Rising Power Forward Player).

The Lady Titans coach, Jason Hively told us in our pre-game meeting that it will be all about defense tonight. With such a high profile game between two strong teams getting into half court offense will not be easy and there will not be many open shots.
On paper they should beat us by 20 points. The Lady Titans starting 5 logged serious minutes, almost playing a virtual 2 games in 1 night. Our big time anchor player Junior Jassany Williams (Broward County Fab 5 Player) fouled out on several questionable calls. In overtime we basically ran a 4 guard set with Tonya Aaron, (Senior), Clarissa Coddington (Sophomore), April Carson (Sophomore), Zachara Bailey (Freshman), and Dominique Jackson(Power Forward).
The Lady Titans battling thru injuries played hard and managed to force 3 over times. In the 3rd overtime Dominique Jackson hit the go ahead basket to secure the victory.
We played with injuries and inexperience. This game is a huge victory and will give us momentum going into the regular season next week.
April Carson played on a sprained knee suffered in the win against Hollywood Christian on Monday nights pre season game. Dominique Jackson played with 4 fouls since the 3rd quarter and a sore hip flexor.
Clarissa Coddington played with a strained groin suffered in practice.
We all wanted to play in this game even though it was only a pre season game because it was for bragging rights in Broward County.
